Job Overview The Account Manager (m/w/d) oversees a portfolio of customers or accounts within the designated territory (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This role focuses on fostering strong relationships with clients to position TE as a strategic partner while driving revenue growth, account penetration, and customer satisfaction.
The Account Manager manages all commercial aspects of customer engagement, such as preparing offers, handling project contracts and quotations, leading price and contract negotiations, and monitoring ongoing opportunities or projects. The role also actively identifies and pursues new business opportunities to expand TE’s presence within the accounts and enhance the project pipeline. Additional responsibilities include developing and executing account strategies, nurturing customer relationships, coordinating promotional activities, and managing project-related tasks to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned accounts, aligning with TE’s business objectives to drive revenue, expand account penetration, and ensure customer satisfaction
Communicate account plans effectively to internal teams, such as Engineering and Product Management
Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, leveraging consultative selling to position TE as a preferred supplier
Maintain regular contact with customers to strengthen partnerships and identify new opportunities
Manage commercial activities, including preparing offers, drafting contracts, leading price negotiations, and driving opportunities and projects while showcasing TE’s value proposition
Identify customer needs and promote TE’s products, technologies, and solutions, collaborating with Field Engineers to advance projects
Resolve customer issues, including quality concerns, promptly and effectively
Coordinate with internal teams to address financial matters, such as payments, credits, and receivables
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for won projects, ensuring alignment with targets
Track and report customer KPIs, demonstrating TE’s value with data to enhance service and satisfaction

What your background should look like:
University engineering degree (Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering preferred) or business administration degree
Minimum of 5 years experience in sales, including account planning and relationship management
A good understanding on TE technologies and product portfolio
Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets
Mobility: Flexibility in working days and travelling
Valid driver’s license
Strategic thinking with the ability to execute on priorities
Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans
Fluent in German and English
