As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts—including standard day shifts, 2nd shift, weekend shifts, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and willing to be assigned to any shift based on operational needs. Built on a foundation of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Training Manager to provide development, direction, and coordination of the Maintenance Training Program. Responsibilities

Oversees the Maintenance Training Program, ensuring compliance with company procedures and FAA regulations. Designs, develops, and administers training programs for Ascent Aviation maintenance staff. Coordinates with Maintenance and Customer teams to identify and address training needs. Creates and updates training materials, manuals, lesson plans, and course content. Supports training development through research, graphic design, and curriculum customization. Maintains training records and ensures staff are trained per internal inspection procedures. Provides individual tutoring when necessary. Management Responsibilities

Develops budgets and approves expenditures. Defines objectives, structure, and staffing needs for the training department. Ensures clear communication of roles and responsibilities. Oversees employee training, orientation, and performance appraisals. Promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment. Manages personnel actions (hiring, promotion, discipline, etc.). Facilitates internal communication and regular staff discussions. Resolves work-related issues and ensures cross-functional coordination. Advises leadership on policy improvements and ensures alignment with company goals. Enhances training efficiency, productivity, and best practices through continuous improvement. Stays current on industry trends and innovations. Education And Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Current valid Arizona driver’s license with clear driving record for past three years. Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; excellent communication skills including leadership, two-way communication, judgement, creativity, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions. Preferred Qualifications

Ten to fifteen years experience in aircraft maintenance A&P License Proficiency in interpreting and applying technical data Ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities; ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Physical Requirements

Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Equipment Operated

Telephone, personal computer, general office machines. Multiple computer software’s such as Internal systems, Microsoft, Excel, Etc. for tracking, recording and communication. Working Conditions

Aircraft maintenance hangar, maintenance offices, flightline. Other Duties

May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management. SMS Requirements

The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders/supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.
