Carrier Sales Representative
to join our team and help build lasting carrier partnerships that drive results. Position Overview
The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with trucking companies and owner-operators to secure capacity for Fusion Transport’s customer freight. This role is ideal for someone with a competitive drive, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the transportation industry. You’ll work closely with our internal operations, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure that shipments are covered efficiently, rates are competitive, and service levels remain exceptional. Key Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move freight across regional and national lanes. Build and manage relationships with carrier partners to ensure consistent capacity and service quality. Monitor shipments and proactively resolve service issues or delays. Negotiate freight rates with carriers in alignment with market conditions and company targets. Maintain accurate data in TMS (Transportation Management System) for all carrier interactions and load details. Collaborate with the Carrier Procurement and Operations teams to identify new capacity opportunities. Analyze lane performance, market trends, and pricing data to recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with Fusion Transport’s carrier qualification and safety standards. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination role. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Working knowledge of TMS platforms (McLeod, MercuryGate, or equivalent). Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong sense of urgency. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant industry experience will be considered. Why Join Fusion Transport
