Open-Rank Teaching Professor Position, Department Mathematics College of Science & Mathematics The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University seeks to hire an open-rank, non-tenure track, teaching professor position in Statistics, Data Science or closely related fields. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the dynamic departments at the third fastest-growing public research institution. We seek candidates who are passionate about teaching undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates are expected to make meaningful and substantive service contributions to the department, college, and university. Successful candidates are expected to engage in professional development to stay current in their content area and evidence-based instructional approaches. Open-Rank Teaching Professor (Assistant/ Associate/ Full) is a 10-month full-time, non-tenure track teaching faculty. Successful candidates will teach 24 credits over two semesters, with an option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation. Teaching Professor positions are renewable, with expectations for renewal of two, three, four, and five years per contract. A Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, or closely related discipline, is expected. Candidates with a master's degree and extensive professional experience may be considered. Evidence of excellence in teaching Ideal candidates are exceptional educators, preferably with expertise in statistics or data science who work well in student and faculty teams and have excellent communication skills. NOTE: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
