The Department of History and Political Science within the School of Arts & Letters at MGA is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Political Science. This position supports the BS in Political Science, the Core Curriculum, and other programs as needed. Responsibilities
Teach a 4/4 course load, engage in scholarship, provide service, and advise students. Teach day and/or evening classes, online and/or hybrid courses, and video-conference classes. Travel between MGA campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, Warner Robins) as needed. Required Qualifications
Terminal academic credential in Political Science and/or related field. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver courses at the foundational and advanced undergraduate level in American Government, as well as International Relations, State and Local Government, and/or Public Policy. Active involvement in scholarly and creative practice. Interest in and commitment to contributing to the growth and evolution of Political Science programming. Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Political Science from an accredited college/university. Two years of teaching experience at the college or university level. Experience with online and/or hybrid delivery of coursework. Evidence of innovative pedagogical practices. Required Documents to Attach
