The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a unit of the School of Computing. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with the options of a Data Analytics, General Mathematics, or Secondary Education track. The department also offers a minor in Mathematics and Statistics. These programs provide students with the analytical and problem-solving skills required to advance in today's workforce. Job Summary
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor to teach day and evening classes in mathematics. Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of mathematics courses in the program ( https://www.mga.edu/computing/mathematics-statistics/index.php ). Teaching responsibilities will include day and/or evening classes. The primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Macon Campus; however, travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) may be required. In addition to teaching, job requirements include service to the institution. Required Qualifications
Required Educational Qualifications Master’s or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or related discipline. Other Required Qualifications Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications PHD or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or related discipline. Other Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of statistical theory and proficiency in industry-standard analytical tools. Required Documents to Attach
