Overview

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Regional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our award-winning Special Education team. Starting salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year (based on experience). Travel requirement: up to 50% - 70% to maintain on-site presence at campuses within the assigned region. The role involves providing expert behavioral support and consultation for students in Grades K-12 across multiple ChanceLight program locations within the region, including assessments, behavior intervention plans, staff training, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for designated schools to identify the causes and functions of students’ challenging behaviors. Create and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that align with ChanceLight standards and district guidelines, addressing individual student needs. Support the development of measurable, objective IEP goals and facilitate progress monitoring in collaboration with on-site instructional personnel. Implement evidence-based interventions using scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies to promote positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning. Provide crisis management intervention and support for students with aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and develop strategies to reduce the need for 1:1 staffing. Collaborate with on-site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness and consistent progress toward goals. Conduct regular quality checks for each campus within the assigned region at the student, staff, classroom, and site levels; make recommendations for improvement based on data analysis. Support the development of on-site teams through training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and related topics. Provide guidance and supervision to staff pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA) as agreed with the Program Director or VP, Operations. Assist in developing and implementing improvement plans for assigned campuses to enhance student performance and staff effectiveness. Participate in multi-disciplinary on-site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to comprehensive support strategies. Monitor and ensure adherence of all campuses to Department of Education regulations and internal standards for educational and behavioral services within the assigned area. Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities. Provide operational support to all schools in the assigned area, focusing on academic achievement, behavioral support, staff retention, and development. Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational success. Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology, or a closely related field. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential. Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company-approved crisis management training. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education credential preferred. Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid state driver’s license. Experience and/or strong knowledge in training and implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques including effective teaching strategies, classroom management, data-driven decision-making, functional behavior analysis (FBA), and behavior intervention plans (BIP) in an educational setting. Experience and/or strong skills in providing training, professional development and/or coaching to teachers and education staff. Strong ability to work with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities in a special education setting. History of success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs. Proficiency in motivating students and conducting critical conversations to help move them toward realistic goals. Strong relationship-building skills with students, parents, teachers, and community/district partners. Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in emergencies and to make independent decisions. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
