Position Summary

As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What you'll do

Be a Team Leader Supervise the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating goals, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and being an advocate for the member, the associate, and the company. Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations. Be an Expert Maintain in-depth knowledge of the business on the floor and in backroom operations, product updates, and product specifications. Ensure the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance. Share knowledge and prioritize training for the team to understand item specifications and utilize approved equipment for high-volume products. Engage with members and share passion for the product to help them make the right protein selection. Be a Techie Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality; adopt new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner Drive the business results with a commitment to operational excellence. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area in the meat department. Utilize digital tools for forecasting, planning, and production; facilitate product inventory and ordering; ensure appropriate staffing levels and accurate audit/compliance standards. Ensure meat and seafood equipment and storage systems are in working order and display merchandise according to the layout plan. Be a Talent Ambassador Teach and train the team by identifying training needs and developing necessary skills to deliver high-quality products. Encourage career growth, source new talent, and develop processes and practices to meet business needs in collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners. Demonstrate compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards; promote ethics and integrity; support a positive Open Door Policy and assist management with addressing ethical issues. Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work, provide feedback, and model adaptability to change. https://bit.ly/3iOOb1J . The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00 per hour. The actual rate will meet or exceed local minimum wage requirements. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in certain circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or work performed). Minimum Qualifications

6 months of experience in a meat production department or 6 months of experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications

Meat processing, including boneless and bone-in products. Supervising Associates. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) - Certification. Primary Location
