Georgia Cyber Academy Summary: The 3-5 instructional teacher oversees the instructional needs of assigned students and the organizational/administrative tasks needed to carry out engaging and appropriate instruction. Essential Functions

Refer students in a timely manner to all support systems as needed Maintain contact with Family Support Liaison for student referrals Provide data to content academic teachers as needed Instructional Roles
Provide students with synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities Follow protocol for creating/updating Canvas modules Administer student assessments with fidelity and according to procedures on behalf of general education teachers as needed Manage documentation on instruction provided outside of classes Instructional research and planning Collect and review data to adjust instruction Review feedback from observations and implement suggestions for improvement Grading
Ensure all assessments are complete Keep grades updated in Canvas/Infinite Campus Provide timely feedback to students on all assignments Communication
Provide LC/Parent with professional and timely communication Read and respond to all emails within 24 hours (1 business day) Update the Infinite Campus contact log the same day a communication contact is made with a family Schedule conferences with families as needed Meetings and Professional Involvement
Attend and/or provide documentation for all student-specific meetings (IEP/SST/RTI/504/EL) Attend and actively participate in all required professional meetings (DDI, Staff, Department, PLC, Content Planning, Professional Development F2F and Virtual) Attend BOY & EOY student outings (district-wide) Attend a minimum of 3 Parent University Sessions Professional Responsibilities
Actively support collaboration with colleagues across teaching partnerships and departments Complete all required trainings Participate in EOG/EOC assignments Comply with all policies and procedures in teacher, district, and GCA handbooks Stay logged on to Zoom during working hours Complete TKES platform tasks within assigned timeframe Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. Competencies

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education Equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates and Licenses
Education Certificate in respective subject matter and grade level Desirable TKES/LKES credentialed Clear Fingerprint/Background Check Required GAPSC Clearance Certification Other Required Qualifications
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures Strong communication with school personnel, parents, students, and district staff while maintaining confidentiality Professional attitude when working with school personnel and parents Ability to manage large volumes of paperwork and maintain records Proficient with computers, online curricula/tools, and various OS Experience researching with search engines Desire to learn new technology skills and platforms Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines Positive interaction with leadership, teachers, administrators, and support staff Advocate for virtual learning and mission of Georgia Cyber Academy Ability to read and interpret student data and educational reports Familiarity with online learning environments Experience with diverse student populations Proficient in MS Office and G Suite Rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies Strong organization and attention to detail Maintain a professional home office; reliable internet Valid driver’s license; 25% travel available Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree in Teaching or related field Gifted, ESOL, or SE certifications or endorsements TKES/LKES credentialed Data analysis skills Three years of related experience Google Certifications; proficient in G Suite Experience with platforms such as NWEA MAP, Illuminate DnA, WriteScore, etc. Experience with Securly, CLEVER, Infinite Campus, Canvas Experience with live classroom tool (Jigsaw) and Zoom Three years of virtual teaching experience Previous experience as Learning Coach/Advisor/Teacher at Georgia Cyber Academy Previous online educator experience Proficiency with online tools/curriculum/assessments Bilingual preferred Work Environment
This is primarily a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, home-based position; up to 25% travel may be required. In-office days may be required during critical periods. Attendance at PD, conferences, meetings, and events may be required several times per year. Light lifting may be required. The above job is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties.
