The Department of Architecture advances design sciences for high-impact, performance-driven, real-world transformations. It offers the Bachelor of Architecture (5-year, NAAB-accredited, STEM-designated) and leads studio sequences in design fundamentals, technical aspects, and urban investigations, complemented by design communication, theory, structures, environmental technology, and professional practice. The program culminates in a Fifth-Year Thesis project. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Architecture in the Department of Architecture. Preferred start date: August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position, and work is in the state of Georgia. Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction in architecture courses at the undergraduate level, including Architecture Studio, and in at least one area of specialization: Environmental Systems & Building Performance; Digital Architecture, Computational Design, Fabrication; Material Innovation; Robotic Construction. Engage in significant research, scholarship, and/or creative activities in an area of specialization. Develop and sustain a robust research agenda. Participate in department, college, and/or university service activities and collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive academic environment. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Qualifications

Required: An earned Doctorate in Architecture or a closely related discipline at time of hire, or A terminal Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) or related field and Professional Architectural Registration; plus Record of past teaching in Architecture Studio and an area of specialization; demonstrated scholarship and/or creative activities. Additional for Associate Professor: Demonstrated record of research capability including publications and grants; established external funding and credentials for tenure-track appointment. Preferred Qualifications

We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Environmental Systems & Building Performance – focus on sustainable design and energy/environmental performance optimization. Digital Architecture, Computational Design, Fabrication – use of digital tools, computational methods, and fabrication techniques. Material Innovation – research in new materials and sustainable applications. Robotic Construction – robotics-driven fabrication and automation. Required Documents to Attach
