Overview
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider I or Advanced Practice Provider II for the Critical Care department. Responsibilities
For the Advanced Practice Provider I: provide evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illness in patients; assess physical symptoms; order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans; prescribe medications; and provide continued care throughout the patient’s medical journey. For the Advanced Practice Provider II: provide evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illness; include education and mentorship of Advanced Practice Provider I and other clinical staff including nursing, residents, fellows, and other healthcare interns and students. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience Nurse Practitioner Educational Path License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing. Note: As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by HCFA within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare. Physician Assistant Educational Path License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department. Note: As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of appointment. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
