This is an opportunity to join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field-based Account Executive and work with sales leadership to help set go-to-market sales strategy and launch a revolutionary new technology for cancer screening. The field-based Account Executive - Screening is responsible for promoting cancer screening colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy to healthcare providers in the primary care practice setting. Responsibilities
Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD to screen patients for CRC and other cancers. Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute the national sales strategy in accordance with Guardant Health standards. Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with primary care providers and their practices. Develop and implement a business plan in line with brand strategy to support launch. Identify and partner with national, regional and local laboratories that offer phlebotomy draw agreements; initiate and secure lab service draw agreements, in-service and train specimen collection workflows. Identify opportunities in the marketplace, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies to cross-functional partners and members of the Commercial Team. Continually analyze competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to leadership. Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clients. Manage implementation of all promotional activities to support sales and marketing strategies, in accordance with high industry standards and company policies. Collaborate with and coordinate across multiple departments and with the sales team to achieve company goals. Uphold Guardant Health values and represent the company culture to internal and external constituents. This is a field-based role – travel daily within the territory and some travel outside the area for regional or national meetings. Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Qualifications
4+ years in a direct customer-facing sales role in healthcare (diagnostics, medical device and/or pharmaceutical sales) with a proven history of closing and meeting/exceeding targets. Comfortable communicating, presenting, and selling to healthcare providers and office staff. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; effective listening and problem-solving abilities. Ability to engage in a consultative selling process and connect client needs with capabilities. Extensive market, customer, distribution and product knowledge to achieve sales objectives. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and customer service skills; maintain confidentiality where required. Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and work independently with multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficient in in-person, phone, and virtual selling; strong administrative skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva). Experience with sales/marketing of diagnostic products to primary care providers; knowledge of blood-based testing and phlebotomy. Product launch planning and execution experience. Familiarity with the primary care practice landscape within the territory. High-touch customer service skills. Personal Requirements
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for field visits. Ability to meet entry/access requirements for doctor offices and health clinics. Ability to travel daily throughout the territory as needed. Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $116,000 to $133,000 (does not include benefits, bonus, commission, or equity where applicable). Individual pay within the range is determined by location, skills, experience, and education. Guardant Health may require a background screening as part of the hiring process.
