The Driskill Hotel seeks a Wedding Specialist and Sr. Event Sales Manager who is passionate about weddings, from building relationships with couples to creatively executing their vision. The role involves selling, planning, coordinating, and executing weddings, ensuring an exceptional experience for couples and guests. The Senior Event Sales Manager | Wedding Specialist liaises with clients, vendors, and internal departments to create unforgettable wedding events, overseeing the entire planning process from inquiry to final execution and maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality. Key Responsibilities

Client relations & sales: Serve as the main point of contact for couples, understand their vision, preferences, and budget; conduct venue tours and showcase The Driskill’s historic charm and wedding packages; close sales with prospective clients. Wedding planning & coordination: Plan and coordinate all aspects of the wedding (venue setup, catering, décor, entertainment, vendors, logistics); develop detailed Event Orders, timelines, and participate in pre-event meetings to ensure flawless execution interdepartmentally; oversee day-of coordination and address last-minute changes to uphold prestige and excellence. Vendor & supplier management: Collaborate with external vendors (florists, decorators, photographers, entertainment, rentals); build relationships with local vendors to support client vision; negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to hotel quality expectations; manage delivery schedules and setup requirements. Budgeting & financial management: Assist clients in managing budgets, monitor pipelines and revenue targets, provide regular sales reports and forecasts; prepare event proposals and contracts; manage deposits to ensure timely payments. Guest experience & hospitality: Ensure a warm welcome for couples and guests from site visit to event execution; manage guest accommodations, special requests, and VIP arrangements; address guest concerns professionally and promptly. Marketing & promotion: Work with sales and marketing to promote wedding services; represent The Driskill at bridal shows and industry events to generate leads and build vendor relationships; stay updated on wedding trends and create innovative packages. Qualifications

Minimum two to five years of event planning experience; experience as a Wedding Manager or Event Manager in a luxury hotel or wedding planning company preferred. Hotel experience in sales/events preferred; strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach; refined written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage high-pressure situations and make quick decisions. Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics; knowledge of wedding customs, traditions, and cultural requirements. Proven selling experience and ability to meet or exceed goals; negotiation and contract interpretation skills; knowledge of space setups and capabilities to maximize event revenue. Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field; strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with sales systems. Seniority level
