Overview
Consumer Loan Resolution Specialist - Credit Resolution. Location: Multiple Locations. This position is hybrid with remote and office work on a formalized schedule. Market: Wheeling, WV; Ellwood City, PA; Elizabethtown, KY; Youngstown, OH. Department: Credit Administration. Full-Time. Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day collections of a portfolio of credit lines and consumer and personal loans, both secured and unsecured. Maintain knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations relating to collections and ensure bank policies and procedures are compliant. Prepare files as an account progresses in delinquency and make recommendations to management on actions needed to secure possession of collateral and/or payment of past due amounts. Initiate outbound and receive inbound calls related to the collection of delinquent accounts. Reduce delinquency, prevent repossessions/foreclosures, and minimize charge-offs on assigned accounts. Determine reasons for non-payment and perform skip tracing to locate customers when contact information is incomplete. Review bank systems (e.g., FIS/IBS, Image Centre) to determine the scope of the customer relationship and facilitate collection efforts. Prepare necessary documentation for modifications, extensions, and file evaluation. Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers and maintain detailed tracking logs on all accounts. Process GL and Payment Tickets as applicable when payments are received. Research and resolve billing and/or payment disputes on assigned accounts. Verify Proof of Insurance for collateralized loans as needed and order appraisals when appropriate. Analyze loan/collateral files to recommend appropriate action and review personal credit and asset reports to inform strategy. Organize and prepare files for potential repossession and/or foreclosure and make appropriate notations in the Intellect system. Qualifications
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One year of related experience or training preferred. Customer service skills: willingness to provide a level of service that differentiates us from competitors. Interpersonal skills: professional appearance and demeanor, strong work ethic, and effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly with management, bank employees, and customers in a collaborative, solutions-oriented manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle detail-oriented work promptly. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Other Requirements
