High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One year of related experience or training preferred. Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day collections of a portfolio of credit lines and consumer and personal loans, both secured and unsecured. Maintain knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to collections and ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures. Prepare files as an account progresses in delinquency and make recommendations to management as to the required action to secure possession of collateral and/or payment of past due amounts. Initiate outbound and receive inbound calls related to the collection of delinquent accounts. Reduce delinquency, prevent repossessions and/or foreclosure, and minimize charge-offs/charge downs on assigned accounts. Determine reason for non-payment and perform skip tracing to locate customers for which contact information is not established. Review bank systems (e.g., FIS/IBS, Image Centre) to determine the scope of the customer relationship and facilitate collection efforts. Prepare necessary documentation for modifications, extensions, and file evaluation. Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers. Maintain detailed tracking logs on all accounts as the collection process progresses. Process GL and Payment Tickets when payments are received. Research and resolve billing and/or payment disputes on assigned accounts. Verify "Proof of Insurance" for collateralized loans as needed. Order appraisals when appropriate. Analyze loan/collateral files to recommend appropriate action. Review personal credit and asset reports to determine appropriate strategy. Organize and prepare files for repossession and/or foreclosure referral. Make appropriate file notations for all correspondence and events in the Intellect system. Other Requirements

Banking is a highly regulated industry; acquire and maintain proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures and adhere to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Ability to research problem situations and recommend appropriate action.
