Responsibilities
Work with a team of process and equipment engineers to start up, develop and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability, drive process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management, and resolve manufacturing line problems. Identify, diagnose and resolve process-related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Coordinate and carry out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process steps; lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities; manage new process baseline qualifications and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives. Establish and improve process condition and technology; upgrade process capability and reduce production cost; establish and modify process management projects; set up process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment. Evaluate, promote and plan new equipment/materials; perform abnormal analysis and improvement; maximize yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes; troubleshoot wafer fabrication problems and perform root cause analysis; work with other process areas to understand and control process deviations; conduct long-term defect investigations across shifts; evaluate products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications; conduct research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommend process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Equipment Troubleshooting. Statistical Process Control and Fault Detection and Classification. Design of experiments, testing and failure analysis. Developing procedures and reaction mechanisms. Benefits
