Position Summary:

Position assists the interventional radiologist, cardiologist, vascular surgeon, or other physicians as assigned in the performance of minimally invasive and invasive fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Procedures include complex vascular and non-vascular procedures, such as cardiovascular, electrophysiology, endovascular, and neurological interventions. The technologist is responsible for pre-procedural set-up, operating radiology and support equipment, sterile field, scrub, and circulating assistance during the procedure. The technologist manages image archive and documentation for supply management, billing, and procedural records. The technologist supports ancillary tasks for high-quality, safe, cost-efficient patient care and assists attending physicians, fellows, clinical nurses, and CVTs with all aspects of the procedure. This position includes access to medications and contract solutions related to direct patient care and includes training of less senior radiologic technologists and students. The role requires floating between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed. What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications: Must float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed. Must support the academic nature of the organization, engaging in and supporting teaching and research. Must maintain a high level of decorum to support a collegial team approach in this environment. Must be available to work evenings, nights and/or weekends, and available for on-call assignments or alternate schedules. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in a Special Procedure Radiology Setting or Cardiac Cath Lab. Current BLS certification. CRT license/certification. CDHP Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy permit. Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a changing environment. ARRT license/certification. ACLS certification upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and practice of hemodynamic monitoring, pressures wave forms, EKG and radiology imaging. Experience in more than one specialized radiology setting (CT, MRI, etc.). Experience with electrophysiology procedures. Experience with interventional technology and current generation fixed fluoroscopic equipment, 3D and virtual CT capabilities, and post-processing. Bilingual preferred. Bachelor Degree in Radiation Science. Advanced ARRT Certification in Cardiac and/or Vascular Interventional Radiography.
