Overview

Lead E-commerce Developer role. Type: Direct Hire. Please no C2C or Sponsorship. Base pay range: $112,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr. This range is provided by IT Motives. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities

Build and customize templates and features, including PDPs, PLPs, cart flows, and checkout enhancements. Integrate third-party apps and APIs; manage custom app development when needed. Support custom integrations with SAP, CRM, and business partners via AWS microservices. Optimize site speed, SEO, and mobile performance using best practices. Back-End Engineering Manage Shopify store configurations, product data, collections, and international/multi-currency setups. Implement automation tools (e.g., Matrixify) for content and product updates. Lead integrations with ERP, PIM, and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Shopify Store Management: Support merchandising and operations teams by building tools and processes to streamline store management. Monitor and improve store performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Reports, and third-party apps. Manage app installations, updates, and configurations to extend store functionality. Coordinate with customer service and fulfillment teams to resolve technical or operational issues. Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Provide technical mentorship for developers and coordinate with UX/UI designers, WA analysts, and business systems analysts. Maintain Git-based workflows and deployment best practices. Stay informed on Shopify Plus features, roadmap updates, and e-commerce trends. Offer technical insights and contribute to e-commerce growth strategy. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience with Shopify Plus development. Strong understanding of Shopify architecture, APIs (Storefront, Admin, both REST and GraphQL versions), Shopify Flow, Webhooks, and theme structure. Hands-on experience managing Shopify store settings, products, collections, and configurations. Familiar with version control (Git) and deployment workflows. Expertise in performance optimization and SEO best practices for e-commerce platforms, with a demonstrated ability to implement strategies that improve site speed, search engine rankings, and conversion rates. Experience with third-party integrations, apps, and analytics platforms. Skills

Design, develop, and maintain automation tools to optimize the Shopify SDLC (e.g., automated GitHub development site deployments). Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Detail-oriented with a passion for creating smooth, high-quality customer experiences. Benefits
