Seaport Entertainment Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our New York office, reporting to the VP & Associate General Counsel. This role will also collaborate with SEG’s Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Hospitality, and Sponsorship teams as needed. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience from an in-house legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate governance, legal entity management, and SEC compliance.
About The Role
Seaport Entertainment Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our New York office, reporting to the VP & Associate General Counsel. This role will also collaborate with SEG’s Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Hospitality, and Sponsorship teams as needed. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience from an in-house legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate governance, legal entity management, and SEC compliance. What You Will Do
Provide corporate governance support, including Board of Directors materials (via Diligent) and Annual Shareholder Meeting logistics Manage legal entity records, organizational charts, and franchise tax payments in coordination with CSC Assist with SEC and other regulatory filings Draft and review basic legal contracts (NDAs, LOIs, sponsorship agreements, event/venue buy-out agreements, purchase orders, etc.) Support administrative insurance claims management (preferred, not required), coordinating with claims representatives and tracking matters to resolution Partner with cross-functional teams across SEG on legal and business initiatives Ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness across all legal processes About You
Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred 8+ years of experience in a legal department (in-house or law firm) Strong knowledge of corporate governance, legal entity management, and SEC compliance Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently Excellent communication, drafting, and organizational skills Familiarity with legal terminology and commercial contract structures Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Diligent board management software Experience with Broadridge, Computershare, and DTCC preferred Compensation range: $105,000 – $130,000 per year NOTICE TO THIRD PARTY AGENCIES
