Job Overview:
An established law firm based in Nashville, TN, is looking for a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their dedicated team. This opportunity provides a collaborative environment where your work can make a real difference in the lives of individuals seeking justice. As a member of this team, you’ll be entrusted with significant responsibilities that include client advocacy, investigation, negotiation, and litigation. Duties: Client Intake & First Meetings:
Build rapport with clients and establish trust through compassionate communication. Gather critical facts related to liability, damages, and coverage, documenting them thoroughly. Provide clear guidance on case action items for both the client and the firm.
Lead investigations to gather compelling evidence and identify key elements to strengthen cases. Analyze insurance coverage and coordinate the collection of essential documentation. Negotiation & Settlement:
Assess Full Settlement Values and strategize accordingly to achieve optimal settlement outcomes. Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with insurance adjusters while negotiating favorable terms. Take necessary legal steps, including filing lawsuits, when settlements cannot be reached.
Litigation & Trial Prep:
Draft pleadings, discovery documents, and other essential legal paperwork. Prepare cases for trial or alternative dispute resolution (ADR), ensuring all angles are covered for success.
General Responsibilities:
Review and approve written communications drafted by the legal team. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to streamline case processes and ensure timely progression.
Requirements: Proven track record in personal injury law or a related field. Strong understanding of legal procedures, from case intake to trial. Ability to negotiate effectively and assertively on behalf of clients. Experience in trial preparation and litigation. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure clear client interactions and case documentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Skills: Excellent negotiation and mediation skills. Strong analytical abilities to assess cases and develop effective strategies. Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
