Primary responsibility will be to assist with case management, document preparation, electronic filing, legal research, and client communication. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have a solid understanding of bankruptcy law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.**Essential Duties*** Methodical approach to handling substantial workload — ability to prioritize and organize effectively.* Provide support to attorney through all phases of bankruptcy and restructuring.* Professional verbal and written communication with clients, lawyers, and other colleagues.* Research and analysis of complex legal documents.* Conduct thorough case assessments, including reviewing financial records, assets, debts, and other relevant documentation.* Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related legal documents accurately and efficiently.* Assist attorneys in preparing for bankruptcy hearings by organizing and assembling pleadings binders and witness/exhibit lists and binders.* Assist attorneys at bankruptcy hearings, meetings, and other court proceedings.* Assist attorneys with communication and negotiation with creditors, trustees, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.* Cultivate and maintain contacts with local court personnel.* Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing support throughout the bankruptcy process.* Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws, regulations, and legal precedents in Texas.* Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional legal services and achieve positive outcomes for our clients.## Other Duties* Assist attorneys with speeches and articles.* Perform other duties as needed or assigned* Attend CLE and courses to expand knowledge of substantive law.## Reporting RelationshipThe Restructuring Paralegal reports directly to Human Resources or the Office Administrator.**Knowledge/Experience**The Restructuring Paralegal must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience. Experience within a law firm environment strongly preferred. Knowledge of legal terminology, as well as national, federal, and state-specific bankruptcy procedures.

Extensive experience in preparing legal documents related to business bankruptcy cases.

Experience in electronic filing cases on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court’s Electronic Case Filing System.

The Paralegal should also be able to effectively utilize digital litigation support and electronic document production applications. This employee must have strong knowledge of

Lexis, Westlaw, and Adobe platforms. The Paralegal must also possess a thorough knowledge of federal court rules, bankruptcy procedures and discovery processes (including electronic discovery).**Skills**Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills. Ability to collaborate with Restructuring Lawyers, clients and other members of the firm.

Must have the ability to conduct legal research and translate difficult concepts into simple terms. Strong computer proficiency is a must, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills are a must. The Paralegal should be familiar with effective administrative processes and possess the ability to manage a multitude of tasks and cases simultaneously.

Ability to perform large volumes of work independently, meet submission deadlines with minimal supervision, as well as an effective member of the team. The ability to work with many different types of personalities at all levels of organization is a must. Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, recordkeeping, and prioritization skills are required. This individual

must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.**Education**Paralegal certification from an ABA approved school and/or bachelor’s degree in a field related to law, administration, or liberal arts required.## ## Physical Demands:## Must be able to move around the office up to 15% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc.; Remains stationary at least 75% of the time; This position constantly operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., copier, printer, etc.); Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs.; This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys, clients and staff; This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.## Working ConditionsOffice environment, Position requires some travel including weekend and week-long travel; Overtime may be required; assistance frequently required outside of normal office hours #J-18808-Ljbffr
