Golfbusinessnetwork, Childress, Texas, United States, 79201
Start Date: By the End of 2025
About the Club
Childress Hall is an ultra-private, destination golf club set on 16,000 acres in West Texas near the town of Childress. The property features 36 holes of championship golf: the Upper Course designed by Tom Doak, which opened for preview play in December 2024, and the Lower Course designed by Gil Hanse, opening for preview play in late fall 2025. A par-3 course and expansive practice facilities complement the main courses. Lodging and club facilities are under development, with three buildings slated for completion by late spring 2026. In addition, the club has a ranch operation with 400+ head of cattle and will add various hunting options to future member and guest experiences. Golf at Childress Hall is walking-only with a professional caddie program, aligning with the club’s mission to deliver authentic, world-class golf in a remote, ranch-style environment. The club is open January–June and September–December, closing in the heat of summer and over the holidays.
About the Area
Childress is a small West Texas community that offers wide-open spaces, a true ranching culture, and an authentic rural lifestyle. While remote, the area’s unique charm and slower pace of life attract those who value nature, privacy, and a close-knit atmosphere.
