Cattail Creek Country Club is a premiere, private country club located in beautiful Glenwood, MD. The centralized location here in western Howard County provides easy access to the Baltimore and Washington Metro areas. The Club is centered around its fantastic membership which creates a very energic family club atmosphere. The club recently completed a 6 million-dollar club house renovation. The suburb golf facilities entail an 18-hole championship course, Three-Bay heated Learning Center on the driving range, simulator room with Foresight technology, and a state-of-the-art short game facility. The golf program and membership is very active. The Club does 26,000 rounds and passionate about their women\'s and junior programming. Chris and the team are very involved in the Section and care about hosting section events and being involved in the golf community. Chris Costantino and his staff were recently awarded Middle Atlantic PGA Merchandiser of the Year for all Private Clubs in the section. The golf shop does 1.4 million dollars annually and has been recognized across the country as a top golf shop with a high a high service standard. Cattail Creek is looking for an ambitious driven Golf Professional who is committed to advancing his/her career and provide unparalleled customer service to the members and their guests. Additionally, candidates may also submit a future resume (where they wish to be in the next 10 years outlining future accomplishments and goals). The selected candidate can expect to make the following additional income within their first 3 years at the Club, but not limited to: Year 1: 10 - 12k Year 2: 12 - 15k Year 3: 15K ++ Experience Required
Team leadership skills Excellent communication skills A sound understanding of Golf Genius and tournament operations A grow the game mentality and experience in connecting with individuals of all ages Experience in running and creating golf programs Innovative ideas toward Junior Golf Class A PGA member or Apprentice in good standing Essential Responsibilities
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility and the Golf Operations Department Assist the Head Golf Professional and other professionals in managing the daily golf operation Control and manage daily play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with cash handling policies and procedure Help manage the daily operations of the Golf Shop, which may require general office duties Interfaces with the Professional Staff and other departments to communicate daily activities, golf promotions, and special events taking place and to ensure the integration of those service functions meet the members expectations Fully understand, interpret and enforce all golf rules and policies i.e. Pace of Play, Dress Code, Guest Frequency, etc Assist in scheduling, organizing, coordinating tournaments, leagues and other special events Maintain detailed files on all club tournaments and events Assist with all aspects of maintaining and creating new ideas for the Club\'s strong Women\'s Golf program Assist with managing the scheduling, implementation and execution of the clubs large Junior Golf Program Provide golf instruction and conduct clinics; Attend teaching seminars to increase your understanding of the golf swing and improve teaching ability Play golf with Members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm and interest in the game of golf. Attend national and sectional conferences/meetings, merchandise shows, educational and professional seminars to encourage development; Observe best practices and enhance the quality and image of the Club Assist with merchandising and inventory controls Ensure that any golf related supplies are ordered in a timely fashion Perform club fittings and basic club repair Positively reflect through personal appearance and behavior. Help build a positive culture and maintain the traditions of the club as defined by the Head Golf Professional Any and all other duties as assigned by Head Golf Professional. Benefits
