The Training Manager, Oncology, will be responsible for helping develop and deliver Oncology Training. Reporting to the Associate Director of Training, this role will work closely with training peers and global trainers to develop training related to disease, product, sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations training for the Commercial organization. Key Accountabilities / Core Responsibilities

Maintaining subject matter expertise for disease states, products and therapeutic areas Developing and executing training programs and initiatives with minimal guidance Designing and enhancing current curriculum to meet the needs of the Commercial organization Coordinating with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical and Regulatory to ensure accuracy of medical content and compliance with promotional policies for training materials Managing vendors when developing training content and executing contract requirements Performing project management during the development of training content Leading training meetings including planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring, and participant conduct Partnering with Marketing and Sales to develop training that meets brand objectives and coordinating the rollout of training materials for field colleagues Influencing and leading without authority by collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide effective, timely and relevant training solutions Collaborating with external partners to provide best-in-class training deliverables Collaborating with partner company colleagues to align training strategy and tactics Building trust and credibility with Business Partners through regular interaction (AbbVie Ways of Working pillars) Acting as a resource for field sales through participation in sales meetings and field rides Designing and leading training sessions at National Sales and POA Meetings Developing and maintaining facilitation skills to support content delivery Continually assessing the organization’s training needs for clinical fluency and development competencies and providing feedback for innovation Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience Training, Marketing or Sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred Knowledge of Oncology disease areas preferred Experience developing training tools to enhance clinical acumen is a plus Knowledge of adult learning principles, training design concepts, and platforms is a plus Exceptional ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels High level of professionalism and ability to excel in a complex cross-functional environment Ability to work in an unstructured environment Strategic insight to dedicate time to important initiatives Exceptional oral presentation skills Excellent learning, problem solving and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to self-motivate and perform effectively with minimal supervision Expertise with AI and innovative technology platforms (e.g., iPad) and programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) is highly desirable Additional Information
