Overview:
HDR is seeking a Senior Noise Specialist to join our team and support environmental and architectural acoustics projects throughout the United States. Our Acoustics Practice offers expertise in aviation, architectural acoustics, environmental acoustics, traffic noise, rail noise, and vibration. Our team specializes in acoustical modeling, measurements, consulting, and expert witness services. Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical expert in acoustics, resolving complex problems, leading assessments, and working on various projects. Develop project plans impacting major programs. Supervise work of professionals and technicians. Manage larger projects as a Project Manager. Conduct analyses in architectural acoustics, environmental noise, and vibration. Use advanced instruments for noise and vibration measurement and data analysis. Perform related duties and travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Larson Davis instrumentation and software. Local candidates preferred. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Acoustics, Math, Physics, or related field. 10+ years in acoustical analysis, with experience in marketing, project and staff management, and client satisfaction. Leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of local clients and markets. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS, GPS, and noise/vibration analysis software. Understanding of ISO standards and current acoustical guidance documents. Willingness to travel and participate actively in our employee-owned culture.
