Embassy Suites is seeking an exceptional F&B Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of the hotel. This role will supervise the Banquets and F&B Operations, significantly influencing the unique and distinctive experiences we aim to deliver to our guests and team members. We are looking for someone passionate about creating unforgettable guest experiences, fostering a vibrant company culture, and building strong community connections. Responsibilities
Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Ensure team members meet all established service standards. Assist the Banquet team with staffing, scheduling, and managing levels according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding food orders and special needs. Be familiar with all property amenities, restaurant menus, and hours of operation. Ensure food and beverage are served with consistent presentation and proper temperature. Deliver food and beverage items to guests. Conduct monthly inventory checks. Provide general hotel information to guests. Offer warm and sincere greetings and farewells to all guests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities and special events. Interact professionally with hotel staff. Conduct pre-function meetings to ensure staff hygiene and appearance standards. Coordinate with meeting planners to meet event needs and communicate last-minute instructions or changes. Complete daily administrative tasks. Evaluate food and service quality during functions by selecting tables at random. Upsell hotel services and amenities to guests. Communicate pertinent information to the banquets team. Attend department meetings. Resolve guest issues promptly and effectively. Provide product knowledge of food to guests. Maintain safety awareness and report incidents. Follow BEOs with attention to detail. Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment and utensils. Follow lost and found procedures. Implement safety and emergency policies, including hazard removal and OSHA compliance. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices outlined in the Associate Handbook. Report repairs immediately to management. Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of Banquet, Food & Beverage, or Catering leadership experience. At least six months of food & beverage experience. Experience at a AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or resort is preferred. Valid TABC certificate. Valid Food Handler’s card. Strong leadership skills and a positive example for staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand and walk throughout the day. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
