The Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 1559) at GameStop assists the Store Manager in all facets of store operations, develops a sales culture, and delivers outstanding guest service experiences while supervising Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction; thank guests; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Promptly and accurately process guest purchases/returns using the POS system, including making correct changes, bagging merchandise, providing receipts, and ensuring top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards loyalty). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training associates in policy, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe performance, provide timely feedback, address unsatisfactory performance as directed, and ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document written feedback in the Workday/HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule associates per guidelines, manage breaks and meals, and supervise staffing levels to maintain guest service quality. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify time worked. Ensure store areas are clean, organized, merchandised per guidelines, and fixtures/equipment are in working order. Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages as needed; report concerns to the Store Manager. Support store team in meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative and operational duties. Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and arrange products for easy access and organization. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; complete closeout paperwork; ensure cash on hand and make deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; record discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate with management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; ensure labels and packing lists are correct. Maintain safety awareness; address hazardous situations; report injuries per policy. Maintain store records/files neatly; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to GameStop policies and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills

Clear verbal/written communication and listening skills; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Operate POS system; basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork; follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; execute financial tasks per policy. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Manage pressure, be a problem solver, and maintain guest interactions. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work alone; stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs; perform physical tasks as needed. Understanding of military ranks/insignia for applicable store locations is a plus. Pay
