Job Overview
Patrols the Southern Ute Indian Reservation and is responsible for preserving the life and property of all citizens within the Tribal Community. This position is a grade N13; the pay rate is $28.60/hour. Responsibilities and Requirements
Must have High School Degree or Equivalent. Must have successfully completed the approved basic police training course conducted at the Indian Police Academy or similar accredited police academy substantially meeting or exceeding the level of training provided by the Indian Police Academy or a respective State POST certification. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Southern Ute Tribal criminal justice system, maintain handgun certification, and pass a comprehensive Law Enforcement background investigation. They must also obtain and maintain a Special Law Enforcement Commission (SLEC), Federal Deputy Special Officer Commission Card, and Tribal Police Commission card. Requirements
Valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy Never been convicted of a felony or a crime of misdemeanor domestic violence in State, Tribal or Federal court Pass a pre-employment medical exam and annually thereafter Pass a timed Physical Agility test during the first 90 days of employment and annually thereafter Pass a psychological evaluation prior to employment Be of excellent character and reputation and pass a thorough background check fingerprints and pre-employment drug testing Company and Location
