Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Environmental Compliance (Biogas):
Monitor and report RNG production and credit generation (LCFS, RFS) to EPA, CARB, and internal systems
Collect and track production data in coordination with Operations and Engineering
Manage and update daily gas nominations with pipelines
Oversee RIN (Renewable Identification Number) generation and transfers with third-party consultants
Support EPA and CARB registrations, audits, and engineering reviews by providing invoices, reports, and operational data
Prepare and submit new fuel pathway petitions and registrations under RFS and LCFS programs
Operational Controls & Billing Support:
Distribute royalty statements to source customers
Validate RNG sales statements and partner invoices for accuracy
Validate and process vendor payments related to compliance and consulting
Submit purchase requisitions for vendor services
Professional Experience: Accounting, commodity production or gas scheduling (e.g., natural gas or electricity), financial reporting, regulatory compliance (EPA, CARB, IRS), billing/accounts payable or receivable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
Familiarity with industry-specific platforms (e.g., pipeline nomination portals, RIN systems)
About the Role: This temporary position supports the Energy Manager in managing regulatory compliance, operational data tracking, billing, and credit generation for a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) producer, operator, and supplier. The role is essential to maintain reporting and compliance functions during a team member’s maternity leave and may transition into a permanent role.
