Position Overview A post-doctoral scholar position is available to work on morphological changes in Mississippi River crevasse splay deltas and the mechanics of fine sediment capture on river deltas and floodplains. The work will be conducted at the River-Coastal Science and Engineering Department at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, including laboratory and field studies. The position involves travel to the Mississippi Delta and partner institutions.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in civil engineering or geoscience.
Experience in conducting field work and laboratory experiments.

Duration: One year, with potential extension based on annual review.
Salary: $65,000 per year plus full benefits.
