The Village School of Naples The Village School of Naples is seeking a full-time, armed Safety & Security Officer. Assist the Director of Safety & Security with planning, coordinating and implementing activities related to campus safety and security for students, employees, congregants, visitors, and the protection of property. Act as an additional subject matter expert and advisor in meeting the goals and objectives of campus safety and security procedures and programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety and security and ensure all emergency policies and procedures are followed. Make recommendations and exercise independent judgment in collaboration and communication with the Director of Safety & Security. Act as first responder and assistant incident commander for emergencies; respond to threats, medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms and follow emergency procedures. Conduct risk assessments, fire drills, lockdown drills; manage crowds to secure safety on campus. Respond to student threats, disciplinary concerns, and removal of students or parents from campus when required. Prepare and update alert messages to the school, church, and parents (e.g., Lockdown, All Clear). Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches; communicate with the Director of Safety & Security and local authorities as needed. Serve as backup for the Director of Safety & Security and coordinate schedules to ensure coverage during absences. Participate in safety and prevention planning, reporting incidents and actions taken to the Director of Safety & Security. Inspect and monitor safety-related equipment and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Assist in managing school carline and ensuring a safe, efficient process. Attend safety-related meetings, events or training as assigned. Conduct perimeter and door/gate checks to ensure campus is secured; review security camera footage as necessary. Write incident reports detailing activities and irregularities (e.g., equipment damage, theft, unauthorized presence). Support emergency and safety training for campus and communicate situations to the Director of Safety & Security. Fulfill other related duties as required. Requirements

At least 2 years’ experience in law enforcement required; military experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required. Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations calmly and effectively. Must be weapons qualified to carry a firearm on school and church campus. Experience developing constructive and cooperative working relationships; strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Active listening skills with ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate. Ability to communicate faith and support the school’s Christian environment. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with administrators, teachers, other staff, parents, and the public; professional and approachable demeanor. Must enjoy working with children and foster an encouraging environment. Strong technology skills. Licenses and Certifications

Class D Security Officer License (State of Florida) and Class G Statewide Firearm License (Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services) Annual 4-Hour Class G License requalification for firearms training and Florida laws Concealed Weapon or Firearm License (Florida) First Aid, CPR, & AED certification Collier County Fire Department Crowd Control Manager certification OSHA 30-hour certification Physical Requirements

Requires walking, standing, sitting, repetitive movements, lifting and carrying; work indoors and outdoors across a 23-acre campus. Ability to run to respond to threats or emergencies and to move people from danger, including carrying an unconscious person. Additional Details
