Base Pay Range
$72,500.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr
Responsibilities We will generate a high-resolution atlas of macrophage heterogeneity across distinct intestinal regions, establishing a critical baseline for comparison in disease states. By applying our analyses to patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) we will uncover alterations in the macrophage compartment across different intestinal sites during active and quiescent inflammation, providing critical insights into the role of macrophages in the pathogenesis of IBD. In a group of patients with Crohn’s disease undergoing anti‑IL‑23 therapy we will characterize the macrophage compartment over time. Integration of these data with clinical and endoscopic outcomes through advanced bioinformatic analyses will assess the potential of macrophage profiles as predictive biomarkers of therapeutic response in IBD.
Qualifications Technical duties include scRNA‑seq, flow cytometry, spatial transcriptomics, and multiplexed histology performed on patient samples (intestinal biopsies). Education and other requirements: doctoral degree (MD), research experience, communication skills. Experience required: research experience including scientific publications.
