Architectural Historian – Water & Environment team, David Evans and Associates, Boise, ID. The Environmental Permitting and Compliance team is seeking an Architectural Historian in Boise, ID. The Water & Environment team excels in managing complex whole-system resources, offering comprehensive solutions in natural resources and water/wastewater management. Our projects emphasize planning, analysis, and design, with a focus on stewardship of the built and natural environments to balance progress with preservation and elevate community quality of life. Potential office locations include: Boise, ID. Responsibilities
Perform cultural resource and historical investigations in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and Idaho state regulations. Conduct context and property-specific research for local agencies. Prepare cultural resource reports according to Section 106, including the preparation of architectural site forms and Archaeological and Historical Site Reports. Evaluate resources under the National Register of Historic Places criteria. Complete intensive and reconnaissance field surveys for areas throughout Idaho using measured survey, GIS mapping and data collection, and photography. Manage projects across various agencies, including tracking project schedules and statuses and reporting updates to the project manager. Qualifications
Required: Master\'s degree in Architectural History, Historic Preservation, History, Art History, or related field. Meet the Secretary of Interior\'s Professional Qualification Standards for Architectural History. Experience with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with Idaho Transportation Department projects. Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions across the western states; must be available for occasional travel. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and GIS. Knowledge of AutoCAD. Preferred Qualifications
