Construction Territory Sales Representative
Location: Central Alabama (Birmingham, Montgomery, or surrounding areas) Base pay range:
$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Compensation:
Base salary plus uncapped commission; transition to a draw as commissions ramp up. Perks include a $350/month car allowance and mileage reimbursement. About the Opportunity
Join an established, industry-leading company specializing in furnishing schools with high-quality equipment — from lockers and desks to gym bleachers, basketball goals, and football stands. This is a niche market with little competition, offering strong income potential and long-term growth for a motivated sales professional. You’ll inherit warm, well-developed accounts from a high-performing predecessor and will continue to build relationships with general contractors, architects, and schools throughout central Alabama. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, architects, and school decision-makers across the region. Manage existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Respond to bid requests and collaborate with contractors and architects to secure project specifications. Prepare and present proposals for school furnishings and athletic facility products. Oversee the full sales cycle, from initial contact through bid submission and project closeout. Maintain consistent communication with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet clients and visit project sites. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in construction-related sales
(selling to GCs, architects, or schools preferred). Proven track record of relationship-driven selling and closing long-cycle deals. Strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills. Highly motivated, self-directed, and persistent in following up on opportunities. Team-oriented attitude — understands "there’s no I in team."
