Route Sales Representative (CDL-B with Hazmat)

Job Summary
As Route Sales Representative, you will develop and maintain strong customer relationships through daily face‑to‑face contact as you deliver hard goods and gas cylinders and retrieve empty cylinders by truck on a scheduled route in Anderson, SC. The position requires a physically demanding, time‑sensitive schedule Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases and retrieve empty cylinders.
Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents.
Identify and monitor customer needs to maintain desired hard good and cylinder levels.
Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Strictly comply with all safety rules, DOT and OSHA regulations.
Maintain the appropriate driver’s license and endorsements.
Keep the inside and outside of the truck safe and clean.
Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store when necessary.
Handle warehouse duties such as receiving, shipping, and required paperwork.
Fill cylinders in the pump room.
Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred.
Industry and related product knowledge, and experience handling compressed gases preferred.
Customer service or sales experience preferred.
At least 21 years old and meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for truck drivers.
Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work independently, self‑motivated, and attentive to detail.
Excellent customer service skills and time‑management skills.
Excellent driving record.
Ability to lift 25–75 lbs. routinely; occasionally lift 76–100 lbs.
Work outdoors in varying temperatures.
Perform climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities; frequent bending required.
Operate in a drug‑free workplace.
