Position Summary… What you'll do… Responsibilities
Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties to associates, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction and guidance to associates on member service approaches and techniques to ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching and evaluating associates. Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, upgrades and credit accounts, encouraging membership renewals, and participating in sales and marketing events. Completes and maintains marketing recaps and other required documentation while striving to meet membership goals and promoting the value of Sams Club products and services. Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, assisting members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and guiding members regarding self-service technology; assists with transactions using registers or self-checkout and ensures club pickup orders are filled. Oversees assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining availability of carts and assisting with member transport of items according to policies; maintains parking lot cleanliness. Completes accounting records, files transactions and other required documentation by following accounting procedures; provides funds for proper register operation; creates and interprets financial analyses; assists with accounting-related investigations; prepares daily deposits and oversees cash transfers; investigates overages/shortages in cash drawers and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Develops, communicates and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other partners; analyzes information from multiple sources; monitors progress and results; identifies improvement opportunities. Demonstrates, promotes and supports compliance with company policies, procedures and ethics by explaining and applying them in business processes; assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems; and supports Open Door Policy. Leads and participates in teams by coordinating work, determining customer needs and business priorities, providing advice and feedback, and modeling adaptability to change. The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00* The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
