What you'll do: Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patients' health and wellbeing by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatment options, performing routine vision care, educating patients and store associates on eye health, managing disease states, and coordinating care with other health professionals as needed. Evaluates patients’ health condition across the full vision center scope, performs comprehensive eye examinations, prescribes and fits eyeglasses and contact lenses, and develops treatment plans based on clinical presentation using evidence-based care guidelines. Responsibilities

Represent the company in vision care and patient engagement by delivering exceptional customer service. Maintain and update patient information in vision center systems in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner. Assist vision center staff on best practices and procedures while ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal healthcare regulations and Walmart vision center guidelines. Perform administrative and retail tasks as necessary (e.g., financial transactions, patient registration) and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated patient care. Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled workforce, support mentorship, and succession planning. Foster a respectful, ethical, and compliant work environment and promote a culture of belonging. Collaborate with partnerships and networks to maximize business goals, engaging stakeholders in strategy development and execution. Lead continuous learning and adapt to new technologies and processes. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school. Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice. Preferred Qualifications:
