Position Summary

The Personal Banker plays a vital role within the TRB Financial banking center, acting as a frontline ambassador in the community. The role involves providing personal banking and community engagement duties, ensuring high-quality customer service and a positive banking experience. Responsibilities include helping individuals and families access financial tools, building trust with local businesses, churches, schools, and non-profit organizations. The Personal Banker is responsible for opening and closing personal and commercial accounts, maintaining accounts, processing transactions, and resolving account issues, all in accordance with established policies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with banking needs.

Be well-versed in the bank’s products and services.

Open and close accounts using Bank’s software, including personal and business checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs.

Discuss new account documentation with customers.

Order checks and debit cards.

Prepare documentation for new accounts per bank policies.

Follow up on client and loan officer requests promptly.

Deposit funds and provide receipts.

Inform customers about interest rates, charges, and account information.

Drive growth through client acquisition and partnerships.

Promote banking products like checking, savings, and small loans.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and outreach.

Represent TRB at community events and build local relationships.

Support community banking events and workshops.

Act as a trusted connector between TRB and the community.

Other Responsibilities

Support the bank’s mission, values, policies, and procedures.

Exhibit excellent communication, analysis, and decision-making skills.

Work effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.

Comply with all federal and state regulations and bank policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

At least 3 years of retail banking, customer service, or community outreach experience.

Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Proficiency in typing, computer use, and 10-key calculator.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to handle large cash volumes accurately.

Good problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work.

Physical ability to stand most of the day and lift up to 25 pounds.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Flexible working hours, Monday through Saturday, and physical presence required.
