Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Position:
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has a strong foundation in accounting principles, is eager to join a collaborative team, and has experience with Fixed Assets. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
Processes Fixed Asset journal entries and recurring journal entries monthly
Maintains monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
Manage asset acquisitions and disposals
Prepares schedules for audits and reviews including but not limited to the fixed asset roll-forward.
Proactively assess the accuracy and validity of CIP balances
Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed
Prepare schedules for audits and reviews including, but not limited to the fixed asset roll-forward
Communicates with upper management to determine appropriate accounting procedures for complex areas
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making
Maintain organized records and documentation
Interact professionally and ethically, constructively participating as a collaborative team member in pursuit of common goals
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of accounting experience
Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, etc preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
