Position Overview:
The Controller plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust accounting processes, and strengthening internal controls. This position will partner closely with both local and international finance teams to drive efficiency and compliance across operations while supporting multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Manage day-to-day accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and payables/receivables.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting principles.
Support manufacturing cost analysis, including standard costing, variance review, and inventory valuation.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.
Coordinate and prepare materials for annual audits and external reviews.
Perform monthly and quarterly financial analysis to highlight trends, variances, and risks.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Develop, document, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Assist with system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Provide financial data and tax-related information as needed for corporate reporting.
Qualifications:
7+ years of accounting experience, including prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred but not required.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (such as Power BI or Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated and organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments.
