Overview

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to enhance external and internal customer service quality and AR process efficiencies, with a focus on supporting M&A billing. This role involves receivable accounting tasks, collaboration with key stakeholders, participation in process improvements, and working in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-office role in Plano, TX, three days per week. Your Impact

Oversee monthly accounts receivable close procedures, including journal entries, GL reconciliations, transaction uploads to SAP, and close presentations. Perform M&A pre/post-acquisition accounting activities including billing, collections, and reconciliations. Support the integration of acquired companies’ accounts receivable processes and systems, as needed. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for month-end close. Review order upload templates for SAP order creation to support post-acquisition billings. Resolve invoice disputes and billing inquiries by thoroughly reviewing customer concerns, addressing issues promptly, and ensuring resolutions that align with company policies and customer expectations. Collaborate with Credit and Collections, Operations, Sales, Tax, and IT to resolve accounts receivable issues. Perform accounts receivable analytics and trends to support monthly and quarterly reporting. Support external and internal audit deliverables and ensure compliance with key controls. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements. Support accounts receivable-related system implementations and perform or review user acceptance testing. Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience (preferably in a high-tech company). Proficiency in SAP ERP is essential. Experience with Blackline, GetPaid, and Salesforce is a plus. Understanding of pre- and post-acquisition accounting is preferred. Ability to perform at elevated levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Experience with high-tech clients in the Hardware, Software, and/or SaaS sectors is advantageous. Familiarity with close processes, account reconciliation, and journal entry preparation. Strong relationship-building skills across multiple functions and the ability to implement new processes. Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and execute under pressure. Strong problem-solving, research, resolution, and data analysis skills. High proficiency in Google applications and Microsoft Office, with advanced MS Excel. Additional Information

– Compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and location. For offers at the posted level, base salary for non-sales roles is typically between $76,000/YR and $123,000/YR, with potential RSUs and a bonus. Benefits details are provided in the offer description. Our Commitment
