Overview
The Assistant Armorer will assist the LOGSUPPU-2 Civilian Armorer in day-to-day Armory operations. Security Requirement
Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance Roles And Responsibilities
Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems. Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations. Qualifications
Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS). Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements. Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening. Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs. Must have at least three years’ experience repairing small arms. Possess a valid state driver’s license. Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing. Be able to enter data into multiple databases accurately. Employment details
