Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Controller
to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our Las Vegas–based construction company. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with federal and state regulations, and timely reporting. This position partners closely with leadership to monitor cash flow, improve financial processes, and provide insights that drive business success. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Direct all accounting functions, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Ensure accurate accumulation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Prepare and present monthly financial statements to management. Manage and monitor the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule, ensuring accuracy at month-end. Develop, track, and report on monthly and annual operating budgets. Strengthen internal controls to support financial infrastructure and safeguard company assets. Oversee cash flow, billing, and collections to maintain strong working capital. Prepare and file all federal, state, and regulatory reports accurately and on time. Support senior leadership with financial analysis and special projects as needed. Experience, Education & Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a Financial Controller; construction industry experience strongly preferred. CPA designation preferred; strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Proven leadership ability, including hiring, coaching, and evaluating accounting staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
