Job Description
DEACON, MOULDS & STOFER, a fast-paced insurance defense law firm, located in beautiful St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a full-time legal administrative assistant to support attorneys handling long-term care and medical malpractice defense cases. Responsibilities Prepare, format, and proofread legal correspondence and documents (including transcription) Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files using ATO software and established firm procedures Schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances Manage attorney calendars and track deadlines Handle incoming calls, emails, and mail; respond or route appropriately Coordinate with clients, medical offices and court personnel E-filing via Florida Court Portal, processing e-service Support attorneys with general administrative tasks and office procedures Requirements Minimum two years of experience as a legal secretary/legal administrative assistant, preferably in defense litigation or healthcare-related law Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) essential ATO case management software and Adobe Pro a plus Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to manage multiple tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures Professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential information Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional legal training or certification a plus Benefits Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, Life, AD&D and LTD Insurance, Safe Harbor 401k Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off, and more… Schedule : Monday-Friday Work Location : In person We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
