Position We are seeking a skilled AI/ML Data Engineer with 4–5 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering and analytics. The individual should have expertise in at least one of the following platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric (with preference for Databricks /Microsoft Fabric). The role involves designing and implementing scalable data solutions, ensuring performance, and supporting business needs with reliable and secure data delivery. The role also values exposure to machine learning and AI workflows using Azure or open‑source frameworks such as scikit‑learn, making a great opportunity to work the intersection of data engineering and applied AI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.

Build and optimize lakehouse and warehouse architectures to support analytics and reporting needs.

Implement data governance practices including data quality, cataloging, lineage, and access controls.

Integrate Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Functions, Logic Apps) into workflows.

Support Power BI integration for reporting and visualization across platforms.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control for reliable deployments.

Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver data‑driven solutions.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Apply machine learning workflows using Azure ML or open‑source frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn).

Stay current with emerging technologies in data engineering and AI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

4–6 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or development.

Experience with at least one major data platform: Databricks : Spark (PySpark/Scala), Delta Lake, notebooks (preferred).

Microsoft Fabric : Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering pipelines, Power BI integration (preferred).

Snowflake : SQL, performance tuning, data modeling.

Proficiency in SQL and one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).

Exposure to machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and ML services (Azure ML, Databricks ML).

Familiarity with Azure cloud services, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Skills

Proficiency in SQL and one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java)

Experience with Spark and Delta Lake for scalable data processing

Hands‑on with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake platforms

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, and other Azure services

Integration of Power BI for data visualization and reporting

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git)

Exposure to machine learning libraries such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

Experience with Azure ML or Databricks ML services

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally

Adaptability and eagerness to learn emerging technologies

Ownership and accountability in a mid‑level developer capacity

Compensation Range The anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $105,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
