Protective Life is seeking a Tax Analyst to prepare corporate tax returns and financial statement accruals.

This position will be titled Analyst II Tax within the organization. Responsibilities

Prepare quarterly tax provisions/accruals, including the analysis of tax-basis balance sheets, for financial reporting. Prepare various federal and state income tax returns and related supporting workpapers. Special projects as assigned, including analysis, research and other duties. Qualifications/Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. CPA preferred, but eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required. 2 to 4 years of corporate income tax experience is required. Must be proficient in Excel spreadsheet software and be able to learn new software systems quickly. Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource systems is a plus. Must be organized, detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Must be able to perform job duties with limited supervision. Team player a must. Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $59,500 to $70,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance or through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
