Under supervision of Controller is a dynamic resource to accounting staff, is responsible for all general accounting functions, and is accountable for meeting all financial reporting deadlines set by the Controller and CFO. Responsibilities
Supports and facilitates period end close activities, ensuring close deadlines are met. Review staff accountant journal entries and bank reconciliations. Prepare month-end journal entries in the general ledger with proper back up documentation. May supervise and guide accounting department functions such as AP, AR, Purchasing, and Payroll. Manage fixed assets, prepaid and leasing activity in accordance with accounting standards May serve as company liaison or administrator of third-party systems. Manages treasury related functions in the general ledger and corporate bank accounts. Assists with preparation of requested internal and external audit schedules, reports and supporting documentation. Contributes to continuous process improvements: internal control, segregation of duties, policies and procedures Prepares financial reports, analyzes financial trends and results and provide commentary. Assist in preparing, reviewing, and updating schedules for allocated costs Assist with recording fixed assets and preparing monthly depreciation schedules. Reconcile monthly of major balance sheet accounts and work with other team members to resolve discrepancies. Produce financial statement package, including standard management reports, such as operating indicators and cash flow reports.
