Server assistants, also called assistant servers, food runners, or bussers, help with the running of food and other duties as assigned. This position is an integral part of the Restaurant Team. Responsibilities

Prepare dining areas for patrons by cleaning tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils. Adhere to sanitation and safety policies to protect the establishment and patrons. Maintain menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages, cleaning chalkboards, and noting specials. Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water; monitor for spills or other needs. Set up and replenish condiment stands, trash liners, and bus stations; support servers in delivering food to tables. Assist with delivering food to tables and other duties as assigned by supervisors. Close dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; remove trash and recyclables. Update job knowledge through staff training on menu knowledge and service standards. Observe table status (dirty, clean, occupied) and assist accordingly. Assist with product upkeep and stocking. Accept ownership for new requests and explore opportunities to add value to the role. Assist with basic food prep as needed and perform light cleaning in dining, serving stations, or kitchen areas. Handle tasks unsupervised and proactively identify tasks that need to be done. Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred. Restaurant experience preferred. Must be available to work nights, weekends, club events, most holidays, and Club Black Out Dates. Ability to work well in a team environment. Valid food handler certification or ability to obtain one prior to employment. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to adapt in a changing environment. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. All offers of employment are based upon satisfactory completion of background checks.
