Position Summary
Manages loan customers financial needs by originating, servicing, and monitoring consumer loans within established loan policy along with responding to customer inquiries with appropriate information, problem solving, and cross-selling. Responsible for credit underwriting for all consumer or HELOC online applications in all locations. Lenders may direct consumer applicants for underwriting, preparation of documents, and responsible to close loan with customer. Assists Market President or loan officers with underwriting and administrative tasks. Performs routine duties independently with minimal supervision. Essential Functions

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Originate, service, and monitor Consumer/HELOC loan accounts within established loan policy guidelines. Builds customer relationships to grow consumer portfolio and other banking needs. Collect, analyze, and input financial and related data to determine general creditworthiness of the prospect and merits of the specific loan request generated from online applications bank wide. Establishes and negotiates, when necessary, terms under which credit will be extended, including costs, re-payment methods and schedule, and collateral requirements. Assists Market President or loan officers with coordinating documentation requirements that may include data collection, credit file maintenance, contacting customers for financial statements, tax returns, or other required documents to facilitate the credit analysis process. May assist as needed in underwriting or credit review Demonstrates accurate knowledge of current bank products, policies, and knowledge of both state and federal regulations. Accurately uses technology for generating loan documents, e-sign, and file retention requirements with minimal errors. Provides teamwork and support in all areas by assisting other customers and employees, including but not limited to retail banking or other branch office needs that are not within your normal job duties. Provides additional financial services to customers by responding to customer questions with referrals to MBT Investment Department, MBT Insurance Department, Lenders, and other banking departments. Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with basic knowledge in business, finance or accounting. Experience: Three or more years of experience in credit or banking. Certifications: National Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Supervisory Responsibilities
