Position Summary
Responsible for assisting with the credit underwriting process by gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing financial spreads and loan presentations, and determining risk associated with new and existing customer’s loan request. Works closely with Loan Officers in all bank locations. Performs routine duties with minimal supervision. Assists with the credit underwriting process by analyzing financial and related data to determine creditworthiness of new customers and merits of the customer’s specific loan request. Works with loan officers in all locations to assist customers as needed. Monitors creditworthiness of existing customers and loans. Collect, analyze, and review information through direct inspection of the applicant’s business and/or collateral, review of financial information, personal interviews, and other means. Follows departmental procedures to report and/or collect problem accounts. Develops material for and assist in writing loan presentations for Loan Committee. When necessary, share knowledge of credit file as a participant of the Loan Committee (not a voting member). Maintains a detailed understanding of the bank’s loan policy and has the ability to advise, counsel, and train employees as needed. Knowledgeable of all relevant state, federal and banking regulations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and loan analysis software to develop models, both mathematical and statistical, that assist in assessment of risk. Completes reviews of both appraisals and internal real estate evaluations as needed. Obtains environmental evaluations and evaluates results. Completes inspections of collateral as requested. Provides or maintains credit related reports as needed. Maintains and monitors credit file exception list. Assists with eliminating exceptions for all offices. Monitors purchased and sold participations for interim and other documentation that is required per loan agreements and participation agreements. Assists all lenders in servicing and monitoring ag and commercial loan accounts within established loan policy guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Position Qualifications Skills & Abilities Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting is preferred Experience: At least 2 years of credit analysis experience is preferred Supervisory Responsibilities None
